Energy giant wants to sell household batteries

Andel will offer all its customers a household battery to help avoid the expensive hours, which have increased significantly over the last five years

Electric car owners can send power from their car back to the house. Now, Andel will offer its electricity customers a deal on a household battery that can help avoid the large fluctuations in electricity prices.

- During 2025, we will introduce household batteries. When the electricity is cheap - typically at night - the battery will automatically be charged up. Then, when you come home from work, and the price of electricity is high, you just use the power from the battery. Our calculations show that this will ensure significant savings for electricity customers, says Marlene Holmgaard Fris, CEO of Andel Energi, to jp.dk.
