Giant five billion kroner factory shelved: 890 jobs hanging by a thread

A year ago, the German company Baltic Structures Company announced its grand plans for a new factory at the port in Esbjerg.

The company had planned a factory with more than 100,000 square meters of production area under roof, with an annual output of more than 200 monopiles. In addition, they intended to produce transition pieces, bin piles, components for jackets, and floating foundations.
