Suppliers under scrutiny in the North Sea

All suppliers to the North Sea Energy Island, regardless of their origin, will be scrutinized by the authorities starting from July 1st when bidding for the giant project which is classified as critical infrastructure

From July 1st, companies that submit bids for contracts or co-ownership of the North Sea Energy Island will undergo varying degrees of scrutiny, as the project holds the status of critical infrastructure.

It is clear that after the government's proposal for investment screening in the North Sea was passed on Friday, it aims to prevent contracts related to the establishment, co-ownership and operation of the energy island from posing a threat to national security or public order.
