Energinet is soon ready with a new proposal for the government regarding the North Sea Energy Island

Three actors became two when the government postponed the tender for the North Sea Energy Island at the end of June

Even though the tender for the North Sea Energy Island was canceled and postponed until the end of the year in a "cheaper and better version" at the end of June, it won't be long before Energinet submits its proposal for a new energy island to the Ministry of Climate.

- Despite the pause, pre-investigations of the sea and environmental assessments for offshore wind farms continue as they have been all along. We (Energinet) are conducting environmental studies for a new energy island on stilts, along with all the associated preparatory work, says Hanne Storm Edlefsen, Director of Energy Islands at Energinet, which is Denmark's national transmission system operator (TSO) for electricity and gas.
