Cadeler A/S is a global company within the offshore wind industry listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. To support the continuous growth in demand for our services and to strengthen our HSEQ support, we are looking for a skilled HSEQ Engineer with a passion for working with renewable energy.

Cadeler is currently undergoing a transition from its status as a marine service provider operating on time charters, emerging as a mature contractor capable of delivering more complex offshore wind construction projects. As the wind industry is rapidly growing and the complexity of projects increasing, Cadeler is facing an exciting phase of development with a strategy to take on more complex scopes within the development of offshore wind farms. This will require the hiring of skilled and specialist personnel from both technical, project execution and administrative perspectives.

The job

Cadeler offers a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate interested in pursuing a career in an exciting growing company in the offshore wind industry.

We are looking for an experienced HSEQ Engineer to join the Cadeler HSEQ team and play an active part in the continuous efforts to develop and improve our processes, systems & culture. The team provides support to our offshore windfarm installation vessels and the projects in all areas of HSEQ.

The position is based in our head office in Copenhagen, Denmark and reports to the Head of HSEQ. As we recently have established an office in Vejle, Jutland, there is flexibility to also work out of Vejle in shorter or longer periods depending on the activities.

The HSEQ team amongst others:

  • Providing HSEQ insight, knowledge and support in all aspects of HSEQ
  • Maintaining the company SMS system
  • Planning & executing various safety and quality development projects
  • Providing HSEQ aspects of bid submissions
  • Conducting HSEQ audits - internal & external
  • Developing and implementing HSEQ management system processes & procedures
  • Conducting and following up on accident investigations
  • Visiting vessels from time to time to support the vessel and project management within HSEQ, in port during mobilizations and sometimes at sea
  • Preparing monthly HSEQ reporting for internal & partner use
  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Technical department, Project
  • Department, Sales Department, Vessel Crew, Clients and Suppliers)

Successful Candidate

As a successful candidate, you will solve tasks with a positive can-do attitude as your main character. You will set high standards while feeling comfortable in handling numerous tasks simultaneously and effectively deliver on a wide variety of assignments.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is self-motivated and trustworthy and after a short introduction, you will be competent in prioritizing tasks and working with little supervision. You are a strong communicator with commercial experience, you are an excellent relationship builder, and take great pride in and passion for providing timely support.

As the ideal candidate we expect you to have most of the following skills:

  • A BSc or MSc degree or Maritime education on similar level (e.g. Master mariner or Marine engineer)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a HSEQ role, preferably within offshore wind or oil & gas
  • Significant experience with safety management and quality management (systems, processes & implementation). ISO 9001 / 14001 / 45001
  • Experience with vessel operations and the IMO ISM code is an advantage
  • A natural capability for bridging issues between departments and ability to prioritize by importance, risk and commercial impact
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate technical matters effectively to audiences at all levels
  • English fluently, both written and spoken
  • The candidate must be able to obtain a health certificate for offshore work

Experience from the marine or renewable industry is considered an asset but not a requirement.
