Ministry of Climate: Denmark will meet climate targets by 2030

In the new climate projection, a 72% CO2 reduction is expected by 2030, surpassing the climate target of 70%

Denmark is set to meet its climate target of a 70% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.

This is according to the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Utilities in a new projection.

The estimate now indicates that emissions in 2030 will have been reduced by 72% compared to the base year of 1990.

This is the first time the Ministry of Climate has assessed that Denmark will meet the climate target, which was politically adopted through the Climate Act in 2020.
