Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has secured 814 million Australian dollars in funding from the Australian government for its Murchison Green Hydrogen project in Western Australia. This amounts to roughly 3.5 billion kroner.
The project, which is one of the largest in the world for commercial green hydrogen and ammonia, is set to produce around 1.8 million tons of green ammonia annually, primarily for export to Asia. It will be located 20 km north of Kalbarri in Western Australia’s Mid West region and will be powered by 6 GW of land-based wind and solar energy.
