On March 1, a new law on emergency preparedness in the energy sector is expected to come into force.
This upcoming legislation gives Climate, Energy, and Utilities Minister Lars Aagaard (M) the mandate to temporarily remove the leadership of Danish energy companies.
The bill, aptly named the "Proposal for a Law on Strengthened Emergency Preparedness in the Energy Sector," is designed to ensure that Energy Denmark is resilient and prepared for "natural, man-made, and technological threats."
