According to information from Danish broadcaster TV 2, the Danish cement manufacturer Aalborg Portland has been granted 1.6 billion kroner from the EU for a facility designed to capture CO2.
Aalborg Portland is among the largest CO2 emitters in Denmark. In November 2023, Aalborg Portland inaugurated a pilot plant for the capture and storage of CO2.
