Slam-dunk for Rambøll: Acquisition secures German foothold

The consultancy increases its German presence in waste management and industry

Rambøll has acquired the consulting engineering firm Wandschneider + Gutjahr Ingenieurgesellschaft, or simply W+G.

The German company specializes in district heating, biomass-fired power plants, and industry projects. This expertise fits seamlessly into Rambøll's energy business like a glove.

- There is great potential in the German market for consulting engineering services related to waste energy, sewage sludge incineration, and CO2 capture. We expect to double our revenue in these areas in Germany by 2030, states Hannes Reuter, director of Rambøll's energy business, in a press release.
