The government has definitively decided to close the door on 24 pending applications for subsidy-free, commercial offshore wind projects through the so-called open-door scheme. This is confirmed by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities in a press release.
As part of the adoption of a new marine plan for the utilization of Denmark's overall maritime areas, it has been decided that "no new areas will be designated for commercial project applications under the open-door scheme," according to the statement.
